Templesprings believes music can do more than teach somebody to play an instrument.
Led by staff and volunteers, the organisation uses creative arts to engage young people and encourage participation in music, social activity, volunteering and personal development. Since 2008 it has delivered music lessons, creative workshops, holiday clubs, coaching and youth programmes to families across Thurrock and beyond.
The aim is to create an environment where students can make progress, build confidence and enjoy the process. Music tuition can lead into performances, certification and further creative opportunities, while the charity programme gives young people additional routes into volunteering, mentoring and leadership.
